This episode of Stationary Joystick was a bit of an experiment, in that it was brought to you in part by Point Belgian White Ale, Blue Moon, and Ale Asylum Ambergeddon…in that order. Mixed results abound. Show notes:
- Meeting up with friends at The Great Dane.
- Internet in the apartment finally?
- Trying Ale Asylum’s Ambergeddon. Or, trying to, at least.
- My neighbors: I don’t know them. Do they exist? The verdict is still out.
- Hardwood floors and slamming doors.
- Outdoors Hockey Classic game at Camp Randall.
- Culver’s, a (somewhat) delicious Wisconsin tradition.
- Japanese restaurants in Madison.
- Dotty’s Dumpling Dowry.
- My nephew threw up.
- “All She Was Worth” by Miyuke Miyabe.

Welcome back to Stationary Joystick! This is a quick little episode recorded on a beautiful – but very cold – Saturday morning in Wisconsin. Topics:
- Transferring schools sucks. Gen-eds, gen-eds, and more gen-eds…
- Hong Kong vs. RAing. Can’t go wrong either way.
- The Seventh Seal.
- Automata exhibit. A poor attempt at explaining it. I guess I’m not very good at talking about art…
Like the oddly uncharacteristic consistency of episode output lately? So do I! That’s why I will continue to do it, even if the topics are rather inane. Stay tuned, and thanks for listening!

As promised, here is the second installment to complement the last episode of Stationary Joystick and hopefully fill you in a little more on what happened during the downtime. Actually, I kind of just start to ramble off about Winter Break topics right away, so a lot still needs to be said. This episode is almost an hour long, though, so quite a few things get discussed:
- Opening song (if you can even hear it): Uyama Hiroto – “One Dream”
- Video game talk! This podcast finally lives up to it’s name. Basically, all you need to know is that this is the list of the best video games ever: 1) Harvest Moon, 2) Marble Madness and 3) River City Ransom. Thank you and good night!
- People who park in the driveway right against the garage door. Are they just inconsiderate or do they really not “get it”? Is this even worth mentioning?
- Five Guys. Deliciousness. Also, State Street in Madison. And on that note, Chin’s is terrible.
- Authentic Chinese food. This should be obvious, but it’s way better than American-Chinese food.
- AT&T sucks. Or maybe it’s just my phone? Too bad I can’t upgrade anymore…

Finally, a new episode of Stationary Joystick! No, it’s not dead. Yes, I wasn’t waiting with anticipation for the return either…Unfortunately this is a pretty short (25 min.) episode, so I didn’t get to talk about much. I’ve still got a lot of catching up to do with you the listener, so I’m hoping to record another one of these before the new semester starts. A few show notes:

Finally, a Stationary Joystick road episode (“roadisode”) where the audio quality is good! This episode was mostly inspired by a trip to IKEA. Show notes:
- A lot of Hong Kong movie talk! Skip to the 10 minute mark if you’re not a fan…Otherwise, I discuss/review classics such as Lee Rock, Casino Tycoon, Aces Go Places, Ghost Snatchers, and My Name is Fame.
- Yesasia.com vs. dddhouse.com.
- My weekend trip to Steven’s Point. Labyrinth hotels, guitar-shredding d-bags, good food, and bad movies!
- My cousin’s wedding. Awesomeness prevails over awkwardness.
- What I did over the summer vs. what I wanted to do over the summer.
- My trip to IKEA! I got way too excited about it.
- Food cravings. Red Robin, 7-11, and White Castle.

Here comes another episode of Stationary Joystick: Road Warrior Edition! The audio quality is OK thanks to the Tascam, though I still haven’t perfected the art of recording in the car. Here are some show notes:
- Transfer orientation. How does it compare to freshman orientation?
- Achilles tendinitis. How I turned into a limping fool.
- Some more college talk, most of it boring. Progress reports, colleges within universities, etc.
- Quick non-commercial break!
- Apartment hunting.
- Federal Aid.This year, I’m actually eligible!
- GPS totally interrupts and derails me. Repeatedly.
- Kerasotes Theaters. More specifically, their diabetes-inducing combo system.
- Another break!
- I Love You, Beth Cooper. A loose review of the movie.
- Hayden Panettiere vs. Paul Rust. Who deserves billing?

Episode 16 of Stationary Joystick kicks off season 2! Not that that really means anything different, at least not in this episode. It’s more or less a stream-of-conscious update on what I’ve been up to since coming home for the summer. Some show notes:
- Some podcasting talk, of course.
- My summer schedule and how it differs from last summer.
- Learning to cook.
- Finding a place to live for next year and transfer orientation.
- The Chazen Museum of Art and Japanese woodblock prints.
- Computer problems.

The dorm room seems to be a terrible place to record a podcast, because the home studio episodes of Stationary Joystick have consistently been better. This episode is pretty short (around 14 minutes), as all I really do is chronicle the journey I went on with my friends to Sonic. Enjoy?

Here’s a quick episode brought to you in part by an unusually quiet dorm hallway. To be honest, it’s short for a reason: I was not in the mood to podcast. Every topic I touch on I breeze through quickly due to lethargicness. It’s episodes like these that demotivate me. Show notes:
- Filming a TV show. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do it.
- Group processing. Contrived interview process.
- Chungking Express. My opinions on the new Criterion Collection DVD rerelease.
- Cinema Appreciation Club. I’m not sure if it can even really be called a “club.”
- It’s over. Sorry. At least I ended it early and didn’t attempt to keep going.

This episode of Stationary Joystick is fueled by hatred! Maybe not to the extent that Jackie’s latest episode is, but I still get pretty passionate about my hatred for some rather trivial things. Show notes:
- Some talk about podcasting. Yeah, we podcasters enjoy talking about podcasting. Check out 60Hz to listen to what I’ve been up to instead of recording this cast. Also, making a podcast studio!
- Accepted. I’m pretty excited, but there’s a lot to take care of because of this recent development in my life.
- Facebook’s new layout. People need to learn the concept of a learning curve.
- Autotune. Overused by under-talented people, notably T-Pain!
